University of Plymouth and University of Lahore Launch Historic Transnational Education Partnership, Opening New Educational Opportunities for Pakistani Students

 The University of Lahore (UOL) hosted a prestigious ceremony to formally launch a significant academic partnership between the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom, and The University of Lahore. The collaboration introduces new Transnational Education (TNE) programmes, marking an important development in Pakistan’s higher education sector.

The partnership aims to strengthen academic cooperation between the two universities while creating greater opportunities for Pakistani students to access international-standard education and expand their exposure to global academic and research networks.

The ceremony was attended as chief guest by Mr. Ben Warrington, Head of the Lahore Office of the British High Commission. The University of Plymouth was represented by a distinguished delegation led by Professor Vladimir Bogdan Ghita, Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor for Transnational Education.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors of The University of Lahore, along with Dr. Samina Shah, Dean, Department of International Qualifications.

Strengthening UK-Pakistan Educational Cooperation

Addressing the ceremony, Chief Guest Ben Warrington highlighted the importance of educational cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

Mr. Warrington reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to strengthening its educational partnership with Pakistan, particularly Punjab, and highlighted the important role of the British Council in helping make such initiatives successful and mutually beneficial.

He noted that educational links between Pakistan and the UK already have a strong foundation, while initiatives such as Transnational Education can further strengthen these relations and open new pathways for students.
