Pakistan can’t be putting this much tax on flight tickets!

I wanted to book a trip to Pakistan for Spring 2021 and I was looking at how much taxes Pakistan levies on to the customer and it comes out to about 250 CAD/person….WTF?!? For reference, most other countries charge about 80 CAD/person maximum. How does Pakistan expect to attract tourists if they are going to be charging crazy level of taxes on flights? Tourists are going to see that neighboring countries like Sri Lanka or India have much cheaper flight tickets and go there instead!
